A. Nicéphore Niépce or Joseph Niépce was born on March 7, 1765 and he died on July 5, 1833. His adopted name Joseph was in honor of Saint Nicephorus and he was a French inventor, but most noted on being one of the inventors of photography. His father was a wealthy lawyer, which cause his family to flee to the French Revolution.
B. Nicéphore was known for a photograph taken from a window at Le Gras. It was the first successful permanent photo in the year of 1826. The photo was taken at Saint-Loup-de-Varennes.
